Black Cashmere is the is the sophomore release from Bay Area Rap Legend James Ek-Sel. Unoffically called The "DJ Disk" It is the 2nd entry in the Artist's 4 Elements Collection based on the 4 pillars of Hip Hop.The follow up from his 2001 critically acclaimed debut album The Sweet Science of Sin, Black Cashmere became another fan and critic sensation for James Ek-Sel. Opting to go a different sonic route than before. Black Cashmere was Produced again by the artist himself and locally famed BAY Area Turntablist /Producer D.J. TYMINI. Where as his debut album presented a Picture painted in Chopped breaks and Dusty loops, Black Cashmere was built primarily from Electric pianos, Organs and Moog sounds to give a experimental Neo-soul feel. With praise from fans and popular Underground blogs Black Cashmere became another success for James Ek-Sel and was at once his biggest selling project.
